In the week that we lost the incomparable Mark E Smith, it is perhaps fitting that our current favourite insouciant northerners return with a blistering new single of their own.

Arms of Pleonexia comes from Cabbage’s debut album proper, Nihilistic Glamour Shots to be released 30^th March on Infectious Music. Blending social comment with mordant black humour and a keen eye for detail, the new single is a savagely frenetic addition to their rapidly growing collection of brilliantly observed post-punk anthems, and just whets the appetite for the full album even further.
