Soccer Mommy – twenty-one year old Nashville native Sophie Allison – released her debut album Clean earlier this year to much critical acclaim, and now she has shared details of a new 7-inch single.

The A-Side is a newly reworked version of Henry, a song that originally appeared on her 2016 collection For Young Hearts and the B-Side, which we have for you here, is a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s I’m On Fire, surely one of the most covered songs of recent times.

She says of her version, “I wanted to make a version of ‘I’m On Fire’ that connected with the sadness of the song, doing a more stripped down version allowed me to make something that feels emotionally raw.”
