Hanni El Khatib – Moonlight

Hanni El Khatib has been tickling the earbuds of Chris T Popper recently who was turned on to Moonlight, the title track of his forthcoming album. A man of impeccably good taste (mostly), Mr Popper was quite right and proper with his recommendation, and so we’re pleased to share both that track and The Teeth and a final taster from the record before it is … Continue reading Hanni El Khatib – Moonlight

Introducing >>> Quiet Quiet Band

Telling tales of love, death and terrible beings from beneath the sea, Quiet Quiet Band are the rotting fruits in nu-folk’s verdant pastures. Extrovert practitioners of hillbilly hoedowns, sociopathic shanties and warped waltzes, QQB’s macabre alternative ditties are further animated by a vociferous lyrical delivery, drawing comparisons with such rootsy luminaries as Violent Femmes, Nick Cave and Johnny Cash. They have unveiled their eye-catching video … Continue reading Introducing >>> Quiet Quiet Band

Introducing >>> H. Grimace

H. Grimace’s erratic mix of styles makes them difficult to pin down – nervy discordant guitars are coupled with sweetly melodic passages and hooky, sometimes soft – sometimes harsh post-punk vocals to create songs that are mindful, well-crafted and somewhat unsettling. The London based four piece have a new six track cassette EP called I Am Material, out on the 26th of this month on 100 limited edition pale … Continue reading Introducing >>> H. Grimace
