For some unfathomable reason we’ve been sat on this excellent split release between Exeter’s New Years Evil (like No Age covering The Wedding Present), and Falmouth’s The Black Tambourines (like The Black Lips if they came from Cornwall).
It was released on 29th November as a 7″ single with 5 track digital EP along with zine and individual photo print from up and coming south coast photographers.
Take a listen below and then get ahead of the pack and purchase from the Art Is Hard label here.
New Years Evil have a pleasing way with reverb and distortion to create an epic MBV type sound, and their track Shame is, we would contend most promising for the future.

Black Tambourines have been described as “surf infused garage outfit who indulge in Spector-ish walls of guitar washes” and “’grainy lo-fi sunbeams”. Their track Tommy lives up to the billing!
