The mighty Kings Of Lowertown are about to release their first single of 2015. New Orleans Woman is a bourbon soaked, blues shoutin’, Preservation Hall inspired song that checks in at a blazing 2 minutes and 36 second combination of dirt-blues and crazy jazz. Telling tales of love, death and terrible beings from beneath the sea, Quiet Quiet Band are the rotting fruits in nu-folk’s verdant pastures. Extrovert practitioners of hillbilly hoedowns, sociopathic shanties and warped waltzes, QQB’s macabre alternative ditties are further animated by a vociferous lyrical delivery, drawing comparisons with such rootsy luminaries as Violent Femmes, Nick Cave and Johnny Cash. They have unveiled their eye-catching video … Continue reading Introducing >>> Quiet Quiet Band

H. Grimace’s erratic mix of styles makes them difficult to pin down – nervy discordant guitars are coupled with sweetly melodic passages and hooky, sometimes soft – sometimes harsh post-punk vocals to create songs that are mindful, well-crafted and somewhat unsettling. The London based four piece have a new six track cassette EP called I Am Material, out on the 26th of this month on 100 limited edition pale … Continue reading Introducing >>> H. Grimace
Sun Hotel have shared their new single, the marvellously titled, After Peggy Tells Her Parents They Never Had Any Trouble in Their Relationship, which is also their first for four years.
