swampmeat

Swampmeat is the project of Dan Finnemore, former co-frontman of US rock & roll act Low Cut Connie and the drummer from The Castillians, as well as a former member of Birmingham cult act Black Mekon.

Swampmeat’s official debut release Gin & Tonic is out on the 25th November 25 via PNKSLM Recordings (pre-order here or digital here). It is a collection of countrified rock and roll, straddling the edge between country, punk and rock and roll, but with nods to the Clash as much as Johnny Cash.

We’ve already shared the great Brand New Cadillac and now we have a second single, the equally good Sister Mary ready for your undoubted listening pleasure below.

Punk Slime Recordings have announced the official debut album from Birmingham’s wonderfully named Swampmeat.

Gin & Tonic will be released on November 25 and is a collection of countrified rock and roll, that recalls Creedence, The Clash and the man in black, confidently straddling the edge between country, punk and rock and roll.

Lead single Brand New Cadillac (not a cover!) serves as a perfect introduction to the world of Swampmeat for the uninitiated.
