Introducing >>> James The Giant

Folk troubadour James the Giant digs deep with his self-titled debut five track EP. Piano and acoustic guitar give voice to folk melodies; drums and bass provide depth to the spectrum. James’s voice floats effortlessly above yet remains full of feeling, at once harkening back to a past age, while firmly rooted in the present.

On the first single from the EP, he opens up about the loss of his little brother, Marine Lance Cpl. Julian T. Brennan who was killed in combat in Afghanistan in 2009. Two Weeks on the Ocean, is a beautiful and raw folk ballad about love and loss.

“What else can a lonely brother do
But try to point his compass
towards the north that his heart says is true
Oh brother, I’m missing you”
