Our downloading issues are fixed!

Josh and a few other readers of MM had pointed out some issues with actually downloading the mp3s from the blog. After much investigation and some help from Uncle Mike, we think the problem is solved. Apparently the automatic advertising that WordPress adds to posts can mess up the link access and stop them being found properly.

The answer? You pay $30 to WordPress to ‘turn off’ advertising, and hey presto it all seems to be working again.

So, if you still can’t download anything, e-mail me at madmackerel@me.com and I’ll try and help. Otherwise, you should be able to go back through the posts and download anything you like now – so have a browse as there is lots of good stuff there.

And here are a couple of new tracks to celebrate. Julian Lynch is currently pretty hot property in the blogging world and this new (but old) track shows just why. Daisy Chainsaw give us classic British indie in the vein of the Primitives (and in honour of WordPress), and Howling Owls are just great – our discovery of 2010 so far – and the song title had Money in it….
