For some reason we’d never really taken too much notice of Ringo Deathstarr – perhaps childishly, I think it was as simple as just the name put us off. So, in our ignorance, we weren’t expecting too much of Imagine Hearts which is the first taster from forthcoming album Colour Trip, which will be out in early 2011.

Well, we’re big enough to admit we were totally wrong. For those that still hanker after the days of the J&MC or MBV, the reverb, feedback drenched sound is well to the fore, and for those that want the dream-pop style melodies and guitar jangle of The Pains of Being Pure At Heart, there is something just as tasty there for you too.

In fact, Imagine Hearts is a sonic wet dream.
