Introducing Josh Schroeder and Meredith Adelaide

Josh Schroeder and Meredith Adelaide met on a chilly fall morning in 2010 at the Little Nestucca River in Oregon. They were on the set of a video shoot acting out a scene where, in a perfect Pacific Northwest setting, Meredith was being serenaded by Josh. To keep their minds off the cold between takes, Josh and Meredith began talking about art, life, music and their love of Portland. Inspired by their common interests and ideas, they soon embarked on an artistic collaboration.

Josh has always had a deep love for the music of The Beatles, Jeff Buckley, and Elliott Smith. Meredith’s musical tastes span from Simon & Garfunkel to Daft Punk to Ella Fitzgerald. With this backdrop of influences, the two went about conjuring up their own music while filming and photographing the entire process.

The duo have just released two focus tracks Stir (Lucid) and So It Goes on iTunes/Amazon and are currently working on an EP they call Planet Music.

We have So It Goes for you below, a very promising mix of catchy folk and indie pop that has that little extra quality that means it insistently burrows its way in past all the flotsam and jetsam in your brain and lodges itself firmly in your head. We’ve played it a lot these past few days and it is a little gem.
