A few new videos that have caught our eye…
The Airborne Toxic Event have released the first video in their new weekly video series, The Bombastic. This is a weekly series of one-shot, one-take acoustic performances by the band featuring new songs from the band’s upcoming sophomore album All At Once, to be released on April 26. This week’s video features the title track to the new album.
Nicole Atkins is returning with a new record, Mondo Amore, on Proper in late March after a successful stint supporting The Black Keys at the end of last year. This is the video for new single Vultures.
Inspired by Grayson Perry’s eponymous painting, Map Of An Englishman is the first single taken from Erland & The Carnival’s second album Nightingale (out 7th March). It’s a true British eccentric single – there’s whirling, Syd Barrett madness creeping round the corner of those sweet pop hooks. Recorded deep in the bowels of a dank ship on the River Thames, the band describe it as ‘the handshake on the way to the strange psychedelia within the album’.
U.S. Royalty’s brand new music video for Equestrian is like a feel good movie. It shows the story of a band trying to make it on the road – playing gigs, recording songs, exploring new places, and meeting friends along the way. Not every second on the road is ideal though…

Lastly, rough hewn punky-blues rockers Shilpa Ray & Her Happy Hookers offer up not so much a feel good movie as an 80s slasher movie inspired video for Heaven In Stereo. Check out their recent Daytrotter session here too.
