Oxford’s own boozy blues-rockin’ trio Little Fish have been in touch to update us about their plans for second album.

As Ben told us, “Nothing much changes – we’re still the “next big thing”, but we’ve given up on the major label approach and are excited to be putting out our next record fully DIY, indie, locally-sourced and self-promoted. We’re recording it with Gaz Coombes in his cellar in Wheatley.”

The first single from the album (which is officially released on the 26th September) is called Wonderful and we’re delighted to (a) tell you it more than lives up to its name, and (b) offer it to you today as a lovely free download. So if you’ve yet to discover the delights of the band, do yourself a favour and catch up now – these kids rock (as Granddad Mackerel would have once said)!

And for anyone at Truck festival they are playing an acoustic set on Saturday on the Cabaret stage at 16:20, and a short acoustic set in the merch tent on Sunday at about 16:00. (Grab our free Truck digital mix here).
