The dark, slightly twisted, disfigured pop of David West aka Rat Columns is due to resurface soon with a new album titled Sceptre Hole. it is due out in a couple of months on San Francisco’s ever reliable SmartGuy Records.

We have a couple of truly excellent tracks for you to listen to in the shape of the pleasing indie rumble of Frozen Over and the noisier, more discordant post-punk clatter and drone of Dying Day.

We can but hope that with the release of the new album, Rat Columns will start to get some of the attention and press he deserves and which is currently afforded to far lesser talents and imagination than his.
