We have posted before about the haunting, fragile beauty of White Pines hushed folky tones. Joseph Scott is the heart of the band and having swapped the wilderness of Michigan and the non-stop hustle of New York city, he is now making Akron, Ohio and its associated hardships and desolation his home.

New EP Plume of Ash will be released on Yer Bird Records on 17th April. Across the five masterfully arranged, delicate and melancholic tracks you get a sense of a real spirit and identity being forged, of a genuine craftsman at work and somebody who has taken his recent travels and experiences and distilled them to their purest musical form.
