Following on from yesterday’s post on Hurray For The Riff Raff’s Daytrotter session, the band have now made a second track available from their excellent new release Look Out Mama.

The story behind Ode to John And Yoko written by Alynda Lee Segarra is somewhat autobiographical, being inspired by growing up in a Puerto Rican household in the Bronx that never played the Beatles. Despite already establishing herself as a more than accomplished songwriter, Alynda only recently became immersed in the Beatles and became obsessed with Lennon, specifically certain parallels in their lives (ie: both being raised by their aunt and uncle).
