Hailing from New Albany, Indiana, Houndmouth are a new four-piece who are releasing their debut self-titled EP via Rough Trade on 28th August.
The track we have for you is called Penitentiary and is about as good a slab of rolling, easy paced Americana as we’ve heard in a good long while, with a chorus that recalls classic era Band and boy/girl harmonies that are a delight. Lyrically it is spot on too, the opening lines setting the scene perfectly.

We’re looking forward to the EP immensely, Houndmouth are perfectly filling the void while we wait for the next Roadside Graves release…
