It is fair to say that writer-producer David Lineal who has released seven albums under the Bird Names moniker with an evolving gallery of musicians has been around the block – lurking contentedly in the D.I.Y. underground since 2005. The music itself is a melting pot of styles and influences: amongst other things it is indie rock with a twist, folk with a dose of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, fringe psychedelia in the style of ’60s pop auteur Joe Meek.
