We’ve posted one taste from the forthcoming Young Knives album Sick Octave, which is due for release in November, and now we have another in the shape of new single We Could Be Blood (out on 28th October). They will also be on tour throughout most of November (dates below).
They are perhaps our most natural successors to that great line of observational, and opinionated, British bands (The Kinks, Wire, XTC etc.) that have so brilliantly chronicled our times from the perspective of the outsiders, the lonely, the geeks, and the nerds – in truth, all of us really.
Sombre, unsettling, a little sly, perhaps malevolent, We Could Be Blood is a swirling, claustrophobic masterpiece.
