The Warlocks release their first new album in five years, Skull Worship on November 26, through Zap Banana.

The Los Angeles-based band’s eighth album, they construct a dense, more elaborate web of sound, layers of distortion and the occasional synth as well as expanding the band’s oeuvre into acoustic territory recalling T Rex. Other songs turn to Hawkwind, Neu! and experimental rock for inspiration.

So will it be worth the wait? On the evidence of album opener Dead Generation, of course it is!
