Big Tree’s December EP is a set of songs recorded in sweet spaces and cozy places and is inspired by the often conflicting sentiments of the holiday season.
These are tunes that relish in this cheery time of year, but examine the complicated emotions that come along with the overwhelming and often unrealistic expectations of what the holidays are supposed to be and feel like. Mostly recorded in the band members’ living rooms, December plays with the imagery of all that embodies this season, singing catchy, melodic tunes over stripped down instrumental arrangements, and meant to be paired with plenty of eggnog and fireplace gatherings.
