The idiosyncratic and peculiar world of 24 year old singer-songwriter Algernon Doll caught our ears with his debut album of acerbic acoustics and raw, honest explorations of his struggles with extreme anxiety and bipolar disorder. His second album was equally engaging, but saw him moving chameleon like through musical styles.
His third album will see a release later this year in June, and those restless tendencies are still very much to the fore. The first taste from it calls to mind the halcyon days of Nirvana and Fugazi with the chiming guitars and distorted vocals of uptempo rocker, Spilt Milk Perfume.
