New Zealand’s Popstrangers deal in a tripped-out, urgent brand of rock that nods its head to the classic Antipodean guitar bands, as well as having echoes of the halcyon days of the 1980s, when the UK’s indie scene was at its height.
The nervy, propulsive Distress is the third single to be taken from their latest album Fortuna and gallops along with nary a backward glance.
