The fabulously named Bullybones are a ferocious new sour sweat soaked garage-rock band (for the uninitiated, a bully bone can also mean a dog chew ‘treat’ made up of a shrivelled bull’s penis).

However this particular group on neer-do-wells are named after a Birthday Party song, and the band’s debut double a-side I Feel Sorry For You / Deadflower Girl (out on October 27th via Barnstormer) is wild deliciously evil guitar music.

That they hail from one of our favourite places, the good old Isle of Wight (though sadly no longer boasting Alvin’s Waffle Shack in Shanklin) is just the icing on the cake.
