H. Grimace’s erratic mix of styles makes them difficult to pin down – nervy discordant guitars are coupled with sweetly melodic passages and hooky, sometimes soft – sometimes harsh post-punk vocals to create songs that are mindful, well-crafted and somewhat unsettling.

The London based four piece have a new six track cassette EP called I Am Material, out on the 26th of this month on 100 limited edition pale grey cassette tapes and 50 yellow tapes – these will be available exclusively from the band on tour.

Take a listen to the excellent Imogen that has a touch of the Savages’ intensity about it, but is altogether more hypnotic and deliciously brooding.
