On the 4th December Bloodshot Records will celebrate turning 21 with their first six-pack single release, Bloodshot Six Pack to Go: Working Songs for the Drinking Class, a limited edition run of 1,000 and as the title suggests, all themed around drinking songs.
There are plenty of covers amongst them including JP Harris & the Tough Choices having a go at Merle Haggard’s Drink Up and Be Somebody, Nashville outsider Elizabeth Cook throws down on the Dead Kennedys’ Too Drunk To Fuck, and and bluegrass road warrior Al Scorch delivers a spectacular version of Black Flag’s Six Pack.
Here then is the mighty Deer Tick’s rendition of the Pogues’ classic If I Should Fall From Grace With God.
Order the six-pack here.
