Soft Fangs is the musical project of Brooklyn-based songwriter, John Lutkevich. We’ve featured him a couple of times, but never with a tune as good as this one. Honey Colony drips around the ears in a completely beguiling and seductive manner, melding the story of a bee with that of a workaholic.

It is taken from forthcoming album Fractures (out on the 1st September). Influences like Sparklehorse, Leonard Cohen and Pavement melt together to form a scuzzy tangle – while literary inspiration comes from the magical realism of author Gabriel Garcia Marquez and avant-garde poet Robert Creeley.

Wonderful stuff. Have a listen.
