Droneflower is the new collaboration between MM regular Marissa Nadler and Stephen Brodsky (of Mutoid Man, Cave In). It will be released by Sacred Bones on the 26th April.
As might be imagined, it is a sprawling and expansive exercise in contrasts – the sound of the war between the brutal and the ethereal, the depths of darkness and piercing light, and the real and imagined.
The ten tracks include eight originals and two covers – the epic Guns n’ Roses power ballad Estranged, and Morphine’s beguiling In Spite of Me.
For now though we have For The Sun for your listening pleasure. You can pre-order the album via Bandcamp here.
