Norwich based quintet and self-styled doo-wop psych-rockers Gladboy have released their debut EP Egopushin’ via Trip-Sit Records.

There are some clear art-rock influences such as Talking Heads, early Pulp and of course, Bowie to the fore, butĀ fans of Pavement, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, or the Fat White Family will also find much to like here. The five tracks delve into brown acid psychedelia, wobbly space-rock, Brit-pop whimsy and kosmiche Motorik rhythms to create a many layered, experimental sound that somehow retains a winning accessibility throughout.

Check out the excellent Sauer Kraut and Who Loves You, Mrs Parsons? from the EP below. Order from Bandcamp here.
