Following our earlier Dune Rats post, we’re keeping the Antipodean theme going with Melbourne four-piece Parsnip.

When the Tree Bears Fruit is their debut album of playful, poetic, propulsive indie rock and follows on from two 7-inches in the last two years. They have shared a new single Taking Me For A Ride, an oddball pop gem laden with soft grooves, wide-eyed melodies and psychedelic hooks. For some reason it makes me think of Amazulu
