We first became aware of Mountain Man via Alex Bleeker & The Freaks superb cover of their song Animal Tracks. Once we had finally realised it was a cover, we tracked down the original and were equally impressed.

Now the band, of which none are men, are following their limited self-released CD with a ‘proper’ debut long player, Made The Harbor, which will be out on June 14th (UK) and July 20th (USA) via Partisan Records.

With influences that seem rooted in yesteryear, from old style Appalachian folk to recording in an old ice cream parlor from the turn of the twentieth century, this taster from the album is another beautiful example of their intimate, ghostly harmonies. We’re already getting pretty excited about the whole record.
