Hearts And Daggers released their debut album And Then There Was Dust earlier this year, but we have only recently picked up a couple of tracks from it via There’s Always Someone Cooler Than You.
Now we are aware of it, we shall be making an effort to discover a lot more. Of the tracks we have for you, Convict Blues fair drips dust, sweat, blood and whiskey in equal measure and is about as an authentic a tale of chain-gang remorse as you’ll hear this side of Huntsville Penitentiary.
Meanwhile Desperado’s Lullaby is from their preceding EP A Home For My Lonely Tears and is a more raucous affair calling to mind the rawhide feel of 90s Cowpunk and even hinting at a Dr Feelgood style guitar lick.
So if gun-slingers and bandits, broken dreams and bruised hearts, booze and bars, gallows and deserts feature in your tales of choice, buy the album here.
You can visit their MySpace here. Website is here.
