Futurebirds have shared the title track from their forthcoming album Hotel Parties.
It is another tremendous slice of country tinged Southern rock that the band are so good at consistently delivering, and it perfectly captures the sometime melancholia of life on the road.
As they say, “Sometimes what you think you need is the last thing in the world that you need. Sometimes a hotel party isn’t a party at all. Everything you do, everything that is said, you take part of all that with you when you’re on the road. There’s an emptiness to partying with strangers you know? …ultimately it’s ‘onto the next town’ and the ‘towns slow fade into the haze behind us.’ It’s about longing for this lifestyle, but resenting it at the same time.”
