Melbourne based, Sub Pop signed five-piece Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have shared a new single, Mainland.

Inspired by a 2017 trip to his grandparent’s birthplace of the Aeolian Islands off Sicily, singer/songwriter/guitarist Tom Russo said “I was reading about a refugee crisis unfolding not far away in the Mediterranean Sea. The song is about longing, disillusionment, privilege and holding on to love as a kind of shield.”

Have a listen. They’ve also announced some UK dates in May – see below.

See them live:

May 18 – Rescue Rooms, Nottingham
May 20 – CCA: Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow
