San Diego’s Wavves will return to the UK this summer for a short run of live shows in support of last year’s excellent You’re Welcome release, which ran the gamut from the brazen indie-punk of No Shade to the fuzz-tinged glam of Million Enemies.

The run takes in London, Leeds and Manchester before the band head off for a further run of European dates. To celebrate the news the band have shared a cover of the Electric Prunes’ classic Onie. Originally on the legendary Cali psych-rockers’ eponymous 1967 debut album, it’s a rather tasty re-imagining – all daydreaming guitars and doo-wop infused drums.
