It has been more than four years since we posted anything from Scottish duo Man Of Moon. But at long last they are back with details of a long, long overdue debut album, Dark Sea, recorded in a cottage overlooking prehistoric mountain structures on Loch Fyne – it’s these monolithic structures the Scottish duo tap into on first brilliant single Strangers using heavy motorik beats, off-kilter rhythms and delivering a tight, jagged stomper inspired by LCD Soundsystem in the way it merges post-punk with four to the floor-leaning electronics.
