Militarie Gun’s debut EP, My Life Is Over, is out now via Convulse Records. The Los Angeles-based group was conceived by Regional Justice Center mastermind Ian Shelton and offers a menacingly melodic sound unlike anything he’s done before. Militarie Gun draw on a wide range of influences – from the unhinged guitar work of Born Against, to the propulsive bass of The Jesus Lizard, to the kinds of undeniable hooks that would make Guided By Voices proud – creating a sonic identity that’s as aggressive as it is accessible.
