Josefin Öhrn + The Liberation – New Single and Tour

To coincide with their upcoming tour (see dates below), Josefin Öhrn + The Liberation will be releasing a gorgeous, reworked version of their sultry album track, Sister Green Eyes, this will be the band’s third single from last year’s excellent album Mirage. Sister Green Eyes sensuously throbs to a more Eastern drive, with an sedated Velvets droned melody, and a fluctuating groove straight out of the CAN … Continue reading Josefin Öhrn + The Liberation – New Single and Tour

New Album From Timber Timbre

On the 7th April, Timber Timbre will release their new album Sincerely, Future Pollution. The first single, Sewer Blues, is an ironclad groove marked by plodding, heavy rhythm, cavernous delay, and a backdrop of starry synthesizers. Taylor Kirk’s nearly spoken words seem to emit from the underbelly of urban decay, carried on the ominous air of these troubled days. It’s powerful stuff – watch / … Continue reading New Album From Timber Timbre

Daughn Gibson – Vas 1 EP

The experimental, ghostly, haunting and sometimes-countryish croon of singer-songwriter Daughn Gibson has been a regular on MM in more recent times, yet somehow we totally missed this Bandcamp release of a new EP, titled Vas 1. MM’s BEST OF 2016: MAD MACKEREL

Our final Best of post of 2016 is MM’s own selections. MM’s BEST OF 2016: CHRIS T POPPER
