We’re a little late to the party with this one, but like us, some of you may not yet have experienced the myriad charms of Boy & Bear, and if you haven’t then you need to. Simple as that.

An Australian five piece, that you would probably best label as folk-rock, they have recently released their debut five track EP titled With Emperor Antarctica, and also toured the UK supporting nu-folk darling Laura Marling. Our taster from the EP, Mexican Mavis is a song that lives up to its name, dancing out of the blocks with a glorious cacophony of joyous harmonies and devil-may-care attitude – rather like the Fleet Foxes on speed.

It put an enormous great grin on our face the first time we heard it, and that can never be a bad thing. Pretty sure it’ll do the same for you.

Visit their MySpace here.
