We were big admirers of the first Duke & The King album, 2009’s Nothing Gold Can Stay, a lovely mix of melancholy, country tinged folk songs from Simone Felice and partners.

Following the critical acclaim that greeted the debut album, the band are back with the September 20th release of their new single Shaky on Loose Music / Silva Oak. Shaky previews the band’s second album Long Live The Duke & The King that follows on September 27th.

The single is an uplifting moment of countrified soul resplendent with the band’s sweet four-part vocal harmonies. You can watch it here.

Simone Felice is in the UK this month for a full solo tour as well as a festival appearance at Edinburgh. The Duke & The King are set to return to these shores for their biggest gig to date at London’s Electric Ballroom on October 27th. Full tour dates are below.
