Singer-songwriter Max Levy (aka King of Cats) will release a debut album, Working Out, on 29th September through Art Reeks, the collaborative label by Art Is Hard and Reeks of Effort Records.

Laced throughout with black humour, the PR blurb says that comparisons can be made to Stephin Merrit, Scout Niblett, Alisdair Roberts or Frankie Cosmos and elements of the D.I.Y indiepop and punk scenes, but what really caught our eye were the references to the village of Eynsham which is no more than a few miles up the road from us…we’ll be heading there for some of the sprats’ football games this season.
