After not posting any covers for what seems like a good while, we’ve already shared a couple of cracking ones this week from METZ and Whyte Horses, so it seemed appropriate to keep the run going and finish Friday with one more.

Something nice and mellow too, as we have Ana Egge’s duet with renowned folk singer-songwriter Iris DeMent for their cover of Diana Jones’ Ballad of the Poor Child.

The song serves as the third single from Egge’s upcoming album Is It the Kiss, out September 6 via StorySound Records (pre-order here).
