Drive-By Truckers’ first new LP in more than three years – THE UNRAVELING – will be released at the end of January.
The songs that have eventually emerged for the new record are shaped by our troubled times and number among the band’s most direct and pointedly provocative, tackling head-on the myriad horrors of our new normal.
The first track to be shared illustrates this perfectly, Armageddon’s Back in Town takes a whirlwind joyride through the whiplash of events we collectively deal with each day, diving headfirst into the despair and pain roiled up by consistently plumbing new depths of intolerance and hate – wherever you are in the world.
