After a long absence, Widowspeak have shared a new song, and video. Breadwinner is the first we’ve heard from the duo since 2017’s Expect the Best album and is a lovely excursion into shimmering reverbed guitars and mellow, layered vocals.

Despite the song’s breathy, lush poignancy, there is a stark message in there about the dreary monotony of unfulfilling work, with Molly Hamilton’s vocals making a pretty clear statement, “Baby, you gotta quit that job ’cause your boss is a jerk“.
