London three piece Flashguns are starting to generate a good deal of buzz and look to be one of the big indie rock hopes of the year here in the UK.

Having ended 2010 touring with Bombay Bicycle Club and Mona, and currently touring the UK with Funeral Party, the band are offering up a free download of Racing Race from their upcoming debut album Passions of A Different Kind, set for release this summer.

Originally appearing on one of the bands early EPs, this new version of the song was recorded in a dilapidated barn in the bleak winter of rural Somerset. The outcome is both powerful and moody – a song that slowly but relentlessly builds into a euphoric seven minute epic, and showcases the band’s songwriting chops brilliantly.

Racing Race confirms that, this time, all that hype and buzz could well be more than justified.
