The Lammas Tide - Bethnal Green

A perfect companion to our earlier post about Strange Lot, Perth, Australia’s The Lammas Tide’s unique brand of psych-folk-rock draws influence from bands such as Jethro Tull, Traffic, and Jefferson Airplane, combining bluesy inflections and folk sensibilities with classic psychedelia.

Bethnal Green will be released on the 1st May on Pavement Records and sounds like a long lost classic from the sixties with its combination of dancing fiddle, Rhodes piano and grooving rhythm section, as well as mellotron flute mimicking the twittering birds and dancing leaves.

Have a listen. Highly recommended!

“I wandered through a rainbow,
On the way to Bethnal Green,
Stumbled on a indigo moon,
Somewhere in-between”
